H/MCBA is a team effort and your participation makes the Association stronger — there is strength in numbers!
Below is a list of the committees and Councils that are associated with the H/MCBA. If you are interested in working on one of the committees or Councils, please contact the staff liaison for more information and meeting dates.
COMMITTEES:
Parade of Homes Committee - Responsible for planning the Spring Tour of HomesSM and Parade of Homes. Additional duties include selection of the site for construction of the Showcase Home, review of house plans, and selection of Realtor and mortgage company. Meets approximately five (5) times during the year.
Staff Liaison: Coriamber Hogan-Rodriguez, Events Coordinator
Building, Home & Remodeling ShowSM -Participants of this committee will be responsible for assisting staff during the BHR ShowSM to include selling tickets, move-in and move-out of exhibitors, and other duties as necessary. This event will take place during the first weekend of March (Thursday thru Sunday).

Golf Tournament Committee - Responsible for the planning of two golf tournaments during the year. Duties include soliciting hole sponsors and food/beverage sponsors and assisting staff during the tournaments. This Committee works under the direction of the Associate Council. Meets approximately six times during the year or on an “as need” basis.

Bass Tournament - Responsible for planning annual Member/Guest Bass Tournament. This Committee works under the direction of the Associate Council. Meets approximately three times during the year.

Membership Committee - Responsible for planning membership contests, retention of members and programs for the Spike Club. Meets as needed throughout the year.

COUNCILS:
Sales & Marketing Council - Meetings are devoted to sales and marketing information and techniques to assist you in marketing of your product and/or service. Additional educational seminars are planned throughout the year. Members receive a monthly local newsletter and also information from the NAHB Sales & Marketing Council. Membership is offered to any person whose firm is a member of the H/MCBA. Dues are $75.00 annually.

Remodelors Council - Information and meetings are directly targeted for the remodeling industry. Upon joining locally, you will automatically become a member of the HBAA Remodelors Council and NAHB Remodelors Council. The local Council meets on a regular basis offering you educational programs and networking opportunities. Dues are $55.00 annually. Membership is offered to any person whose firm is a member of the H/MCBA.

Women’s Council - Actively involved in supporting the H/MCBA. Its goals are to promote friendship among members, to obtain a better understanding of the problems of home building, and to encourage the production of more attractive and functional housing. Membership is open to wives and daughters of builder members, wives of associate members and employees of both. Meetings are held monthly at noon. Annual dues are $85.00 which covers most lunches and membership in the national association.
